Sacred-profane colossus (1986-1989)

These are big sized figures  (2.20-2.95m) with double titles sharing identities from the Bible and Classical Mythology. They are made in thermoplastic, and their definitive external shape is defined with small welded fragments, so as to create a surface that is reminiscient of chryselephantine statues. Some of these figures have been cast in bronze. The series began as a project exhibited at Galería Vijande, but after it closed they were showed at the Arco fair in 1990, and afterwards at Kouros Gallery in New York.
