Bibelots

The ceramic Bibelots (1968-1970) were born yearning for the shaping freedom offered by clay, ceramic and porcelain; materials that made it possible for me to escape from the limitations imposed by the mould and casting techniques. There were just over eighty small figures (between 15 and 30-cm tall) which coexisted with a deep admiration for Picasso, although the inspiration came more from his attitude than his work. From then on, polychromy took a singular prominence, some of them with glassy enamels, but most of them with colors in oil and industrial paintings. The complete series was presented at Galería Seiquer in Madrid (1971).
